I have no internet

I am internet-less. That is suppose to explain my "sporadic at best" (thanks Heather) posts. I'm lucky if i get to check my e-mail twice a week...it drives me insane. Literally. I have to tune out the fact that I'm missing e-mails and important information and Facebook and Blogs because the lack of information and contact I'm experiencing is not alright.

In that case, the information I have for you all is this: my room is painted (a sort of light vanilla/tan colour...pictures to come when I have a floor); Mike and I spent Sunday driving metal wedges into portions of Alder and Cottonwood trees with sledge hammers at my house, along with some other people, and now I have blisters on my hands and extra strength Bengay has been my poor backs best friend and has helped me to smell like a giant candy cane; missed out on a concert last night due to a lateness factor but got to go to Cupcakes/Starbucks/English Bay with some good friends for good times.

Oh, here's a good one. I was house-sitting and Mike and Heather and I were settling in with cheesecake for a showing of Hell's Kitchen. I'm in my comfy shorts...the kind you wouldn't dare wear in public unless in another country. All of a sudden, Heather informs me that there are people on the porch. Turns out to be the people's German exchange highschool student, his mom and dad, and aunt. Long story short: they were leaving the next day, back for Germany, and they stayed the night. I made a mad rush to wash the sheets on the bed I was staying in (because the needed it) while Heather and Mike made quick work of hiding all our wine bottles. Apparently the house owners had tried to reach me on their home phone but to no avail. Until I knew what was happening, there was some angry tears and some words I should avoid repeating (it wasn't my best week), but now it's a good story.

I'm sure there's more and I promise to update more when I finally have internet access.

Until then, I am sporadically yours.

Hehe I had sort of forgotten that had happened. I love exchange students.

And Germany. That place is awesome.

Yay - I know a little more about what's up with you. It was good to see you for just a few minutes on Sunday. Thank you for holding #3 for me. Some day soon I hope to see you guys for more than just a few minutes though.

Can I ask what you were driving metal wedges into trees for?
